Hi everybody! Alexa has told me to give you some idea as to what makes her "tick". My cousin Spike might drop by too! Spike has had a different life and doesn't get to visit very often. But, he knows Alexa pretty well and can probably "spin a better story" about her than I. |
Alexa likes to write
limericks. She has examples all over the site. She also likes to garden, so she writes quarterly newsletters about her experiences there. She has links to other gardening sites, if you are interested.Alexa used to fly for Eastern Airlines Inc. She got her start in marketing there, working with Floyd Hall and Frank Borman. She bailed with the rest of the gang when she felt Frank Lorenzo started using the company as his private cash register. She has a page full of Eastern memories and lots of names of employees in her private database. Feel free to use that area to contact her if you are looking for old friends. Spike guards that page for us--no Lorenzo lovers allowed!
After Eastern, Alexa got into sales and began designing business cards and marketing tools for herself and others. She always designed her cards at EAL . Maybe some of you remember seeing them.
She spoke at lots of rallies to raise money for the out of work employees. She also lobbied Washington for help during her last two years. Basically, though, Alexa just likes to have fun. She's somewhat irreverent and doesn't like to take things too seriously. After moving to Colorado, she used to take ski seasons off and sing for her lift tickets. She can't sing that well , mind you, but when you sing in a bar, who listens?
Anyway, I think you'll find that Alexa is pretty harmless, unless provoked, and really just wants to enjoy life. She put a limerick together about her life with Eastern, and that just opens the world to her memorabilia. ave been cut from their original size of 450x850 pixels,
to half or less. They still take a bit of time and space, however. Oh, here's Spike now.
